Ok so I've searched and searched about turning up the Injection pump. some say its easier from the top but others like going through the side. What is the best easiest way to get this done? It looks to be a pain in the butt either way:rolleyes: I took the top cover of the pump off and didn't know really what to do from there without messing stuff up. Does anyone know where to find pictures or a write up on what to look for and what to do? Thanks :)

goto the banks site and grab the directions for 6.2 turbo install. theres some drawings in there and full instructions. and i went from the top

in my opinion its alot easier to go in through the top since the side requires intake removal and even then its still a PITA

It is easy.... just make sure you don't try to start the engine till you've made sure you have the cover back on correctly and the shut-off solenoid clicks like it's supposed to.

Thanks, I'm going to try form the top then. the link was great thanks for the response. I think we need to get this on on sticky for anyone that wants to turn up their pump and there is alot of people. For people that want to go from the side cover ond from the top. Anyone, Anyone???:)

Yeah deffinetly make sure that solenoid is clicking or have someone to cut off air to the motor quick!!! learned that the hard scary way

Be very carefull when you put the top cover back on, I messed up and it wouldn't shut off, thank god it didn't start revving, :eek:

Thanks for the link, I just got done turning up my pump and it wasn't hard, except for the allen head on the back of the pump, I had to heat up an allen wrench multiple times to get it at the right angle to seat, and still be able to turn it.

I might have to turn it back down a little bit, I might have gone a little over 1/4 turn, the allen wrench stripped on me (when they say the screw is tight, they mean it) and I wasn't sure if it had turned at all, then I went another 1/8 turn because I didn't want to get in there and have accomplished anything. The smoke is rolling a little more than I wanted, but it sure does get into the boost quicker! I am pleased with the changes so far.
