gonna pull the dmax for the first time saturday......what gear should I use? I searched for this and either the search function isn't working right or it was lost in the translation from the old to the new sight. Thanks for the help in advance! Thinkin 3rd. low?........

Be cautious on the down shift. I've seen driveshafts break in half on a downshift:eek: . My suggestion would be run in 3rd, by the time you'd want to downshift you'll probably be spinning out anyway.

Could unlock the convertor too.

Downshifting won't hurt the Aluminum driveshaft equipped trucks or I would know. I can't speak for the steel shafted ones though.

I wouldn't say they're stronger.... probably just more forgiving. The one I saw come apart was a steel shaft.
