04 2500hd, low speeds extremely loud bearing/growling noise. have pulled t case, can run truck with nothing moving but trans, very loud noise towards rear of trans, any ideas? definetly in trans

Are you sure it's in the trans, possibly a U-Joint?

Sounds like a Torrington thrust bearing came apart and sent its rollers into the planetary.
