On 23, when you left the wire jumper there, do you have fuel at t-valve? are you still stalling? or not?

If you can get fuel but still no start, then there is a chance that it is the PMD unless you have mechanical IP.

If you can NOT get fuel, the LP is bad and probably OPS is bad also.

Sure does sound like a dying PMD. Should get a new one on a heatsink and extension wire. Unplug old on pump and plug it into new. Will also need a new resistor in the new PMD if not pulling old PMD off of the Injection Pump.

And to be very clear, the only code you have is 29?

im going to double check the codes, i accidentley left the Lift pump running all night lucky my batteries were not drained.

I also have another PMD that was on the fire wall when i bought the truck before Christmas but I dont trust it. it came with another wire but the other end is like a white plug that doesn't fit the harness on the IP.

May be the previous owner knows that the PMD on the IP is toast and he hooked it to the one in the cab?

Are you sure it is a PMD?

If that is the case, you can always get a good extension cable.

So the cable on the other PMD doesnt plug into the IP harness or the PMD harness? Some pictures and would be easy to tell you.

On the firewall is an interesting location, although I've heard of someone doing that before. Was it on a heatsink at least?

no heat sink just screwed in the firewall, the harness doesn't plug in the IP just the PMD.

Hey ChevyVanner you should just start your own thread. If you know the vacpump is dead you do know that you wont get any boost then? And you would likely have some codes for that, like DTC 78.

That wont cause your stalling problem though. For #23 did you actually test the LP? You need to be very familiar with the LP functionality and how to test it. Also, what type of fuel are you using? Is it LSD or ULSD? If it is ULSD and you dont add any lubricant like 2-storke oil or just some actual oil, then your Injection Pump (IP) will wear out prematurely. In many vehicles, PMDs on the intake will fail, and it is better to relocate it to the bumper.
