I was wondering if anyones truck on here with an LLY motor sounds EXACTLY like this one.

I think this is awesome and is exactly what i am looking for!

If someone does, let me know what it took to accomplish this F-16 turbo sound!

I know this is a different motor from ours but same turbo!

Put an intake and exhaust on it. Neighbor with 6.0 Ford has MBRP exhaust sounds pretty much the same.

sounds like the turbo being spooled and then engine shuts off.

sounds cool, but sounds straining on the turbo due to not spooling down gradually.

I cheesed the airbox underneath and noticed the noise was a little louder than before and I am gonna run a stock GM air filter due to the horror stories I have heard of using a cotton filter or foam filter.

Exhaust is coming as soon as I can find the sound closest to this.

It sounds like that truck has the resenator in the down pipe out along with no muffler. Go to www.dieseltrans (http://www.dieseltrans) and their twins sounds like that maybe juice could chime in

That is a bad machine....I don't have the check book for that kinda mod!

You won't be able to get a D-max to sound like that with just an intake and exhaust... that sound belongs to the 03 6.0 only. You could just play it through your stereo while you drive):h

Yeah I talked to ITP Diesel today and the guy said that the turbo on the 03 strokes were the ONLY year that it sounded like that.....

I was hopeing that I could have done that to my truck!!!! Oh well.

I will go outside right now, start the truck and turn high idle on... you can hear big momma

LOL... just got back inside from the video. Started truck and had high idle at 1850 RPMs... then briefly to idle then a couple accelerator stabs.... camera is only 5" from tailpipe so you can definately see the 'tone' of the BANKS exhaust is quieter than a stock DMX.... other than the telltale whistle.

Twins make the idle too quiet.... waaay tooo quiet. Sounds like a stock DMX. Hm... wait a sec... not a bad thing really... just means more rubes will try forking with the wrong Diapermax!):h

Maybe I'll leave the Muffler on for a little while longer.:o:

It is a Banks 4" Exhaust and Banks Muffler. And yes, Compounded Twin Turbos.:ro)
