:funnypost I just picked up my heavy chevy today.Black 2500 Crew Cab LT with all the goodies. Of course I got the D-Max.I had two 6.0 gassers before.
Here is the kicker I sell the blue ovals.I really love this bad boy!
So what are the cheapest mods for the money? I pull a 7100 lb boat.

Exhaust/chip/gauges/stick/plate/cooler seems to be a consistent pattern around here! ;) That should get you started!):h JJ :)

A box or tuner will get you the most bang for the buck. You might not do anything else performance-wise after that, the truck becomes such a different animal once you add 70-100hp or so.
Figure dropping about $500 give or take for that mod.
Hey JJ, do I detect some editing at the end of your sig?

TxC, just changed it back to the original. Guys like you were taking too much of my time challenging my math! ;) Dang AAAA's! ):h
GR71, everyone has their priority list of mods, not surprisingly TxC went right for the power. ):h   In my post there was a method to my madness in putting those mods in the order I suggested, especially since you will be towing a pretty heavy boat. Quad A baby!
Tuners($400-$700) will boost hp/tq considerably, however they normally produce higher EGT's in the process. Towing that 7100lb boat you will run higher EGT's, especially on climbs. :o: The exhaust($400-$700) gives you better MPG's and mo' hp/tq(15+-) which is a pretty good bang for the buck IMHO. ;)
Once you add a tuner a good set of gauges($200-$400) is required to make sure you don't run too high EGT's when towing, monitor boost, engine temps, etc . :exactly:
The stick and plate have to do with disconnecting the EGR, I'll let guys in the know on that explain it. Cheap though! ;)
And finally a tranny cooler to keep the Ally nice and cool. Many rave reviews about Mike L.'s tranny cooler(he ain't posting a price so I won't either, but it is reasonable). All of these mods combined will run you between $1200-$2000 and make it a totally different truck. :ro) PLEASE SUPPORT OUR VENDORS! They pay the bills!
After these mods your next major investment is to rebuild the tranny, figure about $2k minimum up. Hope this helps. JJ :)
