Any thoughts on the two?
I do have the Predator and VA for the LLY but I am wondering what others think of PPE's products.
I don't have the tranny done so I won't be running the high tunes until I would get the tranny done.
Are the lower tunes on either programmer better than the other?
Do the lower tunes such as the 60hp or the 90hp perform nice. Like being close to stock feeling but with more power?
Thanks

Just curious on why you are looking into another programmer when your tranny is stock. I'd get the tranny done and then start thinking about more power units. Just my .02.

The lower tunes on the Hot Xcelerator run very well. Great driveability with suprisingly low smoke as compared to the Predator. The Hot tune is a little touchy on the throttle, but overall very smoothe driveability.
I originally purchased the Std. PPE xcelerator programmer last Sept. for my LLY and was not too thrilled with the programs. The 70 HP tune rattled like crazy when cold. So then I went to the Predator and used the tow tune. Pretty happy with that, but the truck never really shifted quite like stock. Called PPE a couple of weeks ago to see if by chance they had updated any of the original LLY tunes and they said they had. I live near their shop, took my programmer by and they reprogrammed it with the new tunes free of charge while I waited. I am happy to report that the new tunes are FAR better. I've tried the 70 HP tune and the level 1 "tow tune". The truck shifts very smooth from the get go with either tune. 70 HP tune puts out some pretty good black smoke when you nail it. I especially like the new tow tune, very quiet, good throttle response, shifts like stock, engine knock when cold previously experienced IS GONE. I'll be sticking with this one. I have no experience with the "Hot" version of the xcelerator.

I have a question, how many tuners does PPE have out for the LLY? I have a juice w/attitude and a predator, at times I tell myself that I am happy with these, and at times I would like to try others. I have a s/c 3 trans so I am not worried about that. Plus, i wouldn't mind just having one tuner instead of stacking. I know one thing, I am going to have to get a lift pump system soon, I'm frustrated every time I start to "play" with someone and it starts to burst.

Get yourself a PPE Hot xcellerator and a lly VA box. Or add the VA to your predator. The edge doesn't stack for crap with anything.

I couldn't get the LLY Edge to stack effectively.

The edge doesn't play nice with others.

I'm starting to agree about the edge stack. It's not very happy with hotter than stock info comming from the ECM. I am curious to know if anyone has stacked the PPE Hot Xcelerator with the Duramax LLY Enforcer. Since both are by PPE it would be interesting to see if they play well together. Sorry to go off topic a bit here.

I am in the same boat as goodrnch...at times I am happy with the Predator and the VA but then I start reading about others.
You are right lakingslayer; I should save and do the tranny next...

I run the Enforcer + HOt Stack. Numbers in my sig.
I drive every day with both on Kill. It drives great. I love the Touchy throttle. NOT Touchy enough in my book:D !

The Xcelerator and Enforcer were designed to run together. The stack runs flawless with no hiccups or bursting. If you are going for balls to the wall power this is what you want. So far, it is the biggest power combo available.
