Just like it says. I think there's about 4 buttons on the steering wheel that aren't lit up; I'd like to know how to replace these, and with what.
Secondly, my tow/haul switch doesn't work. It used to! Then gradually wore out. I would assume the contacts are worn out, because as it was failing you had to progressively press the button harder and harder, now it doesn't work at all. Are there any common problems relating to this and if not, where would I look first? How do I get the shifter/tow-haul button apart?
Unfortunatley I don't have all the time I'd like to have so I can't trouble shoot things like I want to. I'll need to rely on the experts advice! Secondly, I'd like to buy my own shop manuals for this truck, but GM doesn't sell them. Where would I look to buy?
03 GMC 2500HD, SLT, xcab-sbox, 4x4, and of course duramax allison (with straight pipe and juice/attitude)
(history- I live in a remote town 4 hours from another dealer, where the only GM dealer has a 3-4 week waiting list, does poor work and usually warranties nothing! I do all my own work anyways, from setting up gears to building trannies, to building a supercharged stroker big blocks, my other truck has 44" boggers, but working on this truck is a whole new game to me)
