Hows it goin guys I just got my truck yesterday. 05 Green Silverado Crew shortbed D/A Lt 4x4 So far I love it. I traded my 03 silverado SS very nice truck but I wanted a "REAL" truck. My questions are (1)what should the oil pressure be at idle?(2)What should the tranny temp be under normal conditions not towing?And(3)What should engine temp be under normal conditions not towing? I live in Cali and temps are around 80-90 degrees for now later it will get to the 100's. I am a little concerned about the engine temp. It runs pretty much at 210 sometimes a hair or two under, all the time.Is this OK? I haven't towed with it yet. Truck is completely stock........so far!:muahaha: Thanks for your time, Albie

Well, I did try to read through some of the "overheating" thread. From what I gather I should be fine. I'm going to watch the temp guage and see if I actually ever hit 210 or if its a hair under all the time. I would still like your guys' feedback on this and the other questions, thanks.

about 30psi oil pressure at idle for me. ive read 25-30 is good.

when running around i rarely see over 160 in my trans. if your towing hard dont let her get over 220 or so. running around in tow/haul mode helps keep stuff cooler.

im about 180-210 on the engine temps.

The stock analog guages show 210 just like mine do, but on digital ones like Edge Attitude its actually about 190-195 which is normal. I have about the same temps here in central texas and the tranny temps never go above the first or second dash. Matter of fact neve gone higher than that towing either.

the oil pressure reads lower on the LLY motors versus the LB7's. So at idle it will look very low, but is normal.
