I am considering putting a 6 inch lift with 35s, but I am concerned that the thing will just be too high for the wife and kids. Have any of you tried 35x18s on a 4 inch lift? Do you have pics?

Thanks

JC

Bro my 2001 had 6" and barely fit 35" tires with some trimming of air dam under front bumper, 4" is not enough for 35" tires bud.

i am running 35s (315/70R17) with no lift, just the green keys. I do have occasional rubbing with the rear fender liner with tires turned extremely under suspension travel, no biggy. I have a replacement front bumper so no concern there, but there are others who have moved their bumper forward and run the same thing. key is the backspace on the wheels.

Here's one with a 4 inch lift and 35's. No rubbing at all.

Get the amp full length electric steps. My wife's 5' 3". No problem with getting, plus they're kinda cool.

Backspacing backspacing, backspacing. If you have adequate backspacing for your rims, you won't have rubbing. Don't go with a spindle type lift like I did, then you're really restricted for your backspacing. Find a lift that lowers your upper A-arms, and then get proper backspacing. Rubbing shouldn't be a problem for you then.

I've been running a 6" lift and 35's on my last two trucks and the new truck is currently getting the same treatment. It's tall enough to clear 35's nicely, looks good, performs well off-road, and with the Amp Research steps my pregnant wife has no problems getting in and out. W/out the steps it's a little tougher. If you are concerned about the height you can always run the Rancho 4" lift and a good set of 33's. I can't imagine running 35' on a stock truck I think even with the correct back spacing the fender wells would really limit the amount of wheel articualtion. Maybe if was a street queen.:p:

Go 6" w/35's and add the steps. Best of both worlds.

Just my $.02,

Chris

We just installed another rancho 4" kit on an 05 GMC Dmax/ally, 35" bfg M/T, 8" eagle wheels. Some front lower bumper trimming and that's it. With this truck that's about 13 or so we've done, all the same, just different wheels. T-bars are only 2 turns above stock, truck is level, owner didn't want "bulldog" in truck. We're doing another next week. Mine is same, check sig and click on "Ricks Ride". Only mine has pro-comp m/t's... 31k on tires and still at 19/32 tread depth
