: Anybody ever hear of a boost increaser valve?

I seen this valve on a website, says it increases boost pressure from original 18-20psi to 28-30 psi.
Says its a MAP overboost code eliminator or a boost increaser valve.
Installs between the turbo & wastegate.

Sounds like these guys are up to their typical tricks again?

You will need fuel to drive a turbo to 28 psi of boost.........a HOT OJ, VA 150 or a QUAD/PPE will do it on a HP level of at least 100 more than stock.

I highly doubt that you will see that much boost with stock fueling.

If you buy one adjust it slowly...........I have seen my old 35 psi boost gauge pinned more than once while trying to adjust it.......I did not "JUICE" my turbo though............ ...........I got lucky............three times...........

DO NOT USE as Grainger valve, needle valve, ball seat checkball valve NOTHING LIKE THAT.

The main problem is that Turbo Diesel Boost is a non linear relationship to stoichiometric air fuel ratio. There is no computer to cut fuel to regulate boost to lambda=1

We throttle on fuel, and the turbo operates 75% by heat and 25% by flow. So, set the needle valve to Juice on 5x1....... cool 34 psi.... then without changing the needle setting go 5x5. You will see 37 PSIG on a stock turbo before you blink. And when locking to 5th gear..... the load and thereofre heat increases.... 39 PSIBOOOOOM

I see there is a real nasty looking LB7 Turbo on Ebay right now. 299 start bid on a piece that looks rode hard and put up wet.

But don't listen to me. Experience is the best teacher and i would hate to deny someone of that!

Bleeds, Graingers.... et al, HKS Profec B Rebic, Blitz FCon.... all made for gassers and their turbo response time. John@DPS tried one.... and blew his turbo. I tried one and ALMOST blew #3..... moral of the story, we have a 12 psig cushion over stock. 10 if heavily fuelled and at higher alt drier elev.

DO NOT SCREW WITH IT IF YOU DON'T HAVE A SPARE TURBO ON THE SHELF AND 5 SPARE HOURS TO CHANGE ONE

Actually Steve, I think after the First one you are Certified.... After the second you are Certifiable and Certifiably 'stoopid'

But I've been called worse:D

I've got 4 spares here so what's that make me, but worse yet they are still attached to complete motors.

Working Spares or 'Juiced over' spares):h

If they are blown, I guess we are both in the same boat.

Do you have a Juiced one (core?) you do not need?

I am working on my brother's truck.... I might need a rebuildable core handy:eek:
