Hey Fellas,

I did a dearch on BOOST GAUGE INSTALL and coudn't seem to find the right post. I'm looking for the link that shows where to drill and tap for the boost gauge probe. I'm selling my Edge J/A and going PPE Hot +2 and will be installing the pyro gauge and boost gauge. The pyro gauge I know how to install, it's the boost gauge I need help with. Can someone post the link on how to install the boost gauge. Thank you!

You will have to drill and tap the intake manifold. Pre grid-heater works well.

But you have to remove the intake, right? Just so you don't get bits of metal in the engine.

I removed mine and it was no big deal. I know some people will just leave it on and grease the drill bit to catch the shavings, but I would not want to chance it with this method. Another option is a boost tube boot that has the fitting already installed for your boost gauge line.

Ill probably pull the intake off and do it that way, do you need to replace the gaskets when you do this or are they reuseable?

I have a Banks Boost Tube on order.... Can I just drill and tap that instead of removing, drilling and tapping the intake?

I didn't need to replace any gaskets. I'm pretty sure they have steel ones that are resusable.

Did mine like AGGAR except on top of the tube.

That seems like a good idea. You'll like the boost tube upgrade

Is there any favorbale location on the boost tube where I should drill and tap the probe?

I would do it on top, where it's easy to access, and then your running the shortest line through your firewall to your gauge. Just my opinion, maybe the experts have other suggestions.
