The last week or so, I noticed that when I turn, there is a slight squeek noise - maybe a power steering pump "talking" to me. Anyone have their go out yet?

Mine went out but no squeeky. Just one morning, no PS & no brakes. shut down and restarted and things were ok. Staight to the dealer and as tested there was a low pressure detected. PS pump replaced, everything good to go. I would suspect a belt squeek rather than PS pump squeel/squeek.

Actually the problem is in the spool valve in the steering gear box. If you have a whine like its low on fluid or turns hard in ONLY ONE direction it is an internal leak in the gear. Usually just a little throttle make it better. The spool valve is within 15$ of the whole gear. I have not tried the Lucas PS oil on this but it works great on bad ps racks. Might be worth a try.Getting more common on higher mileage trucks but have seen it @20K
