Has anyone come up with a good idea of how to get the front tire shields/caps from rubbing on the tire. You know..that squish, squish sound. I have the stock caps on my 1997 GMC dually. I've tried recentering it several times, but doesn't help. I was thinking of putting some weather stripping on the back side to space it out a bit, but didn't know if it would last long. (I am running about 62 lbs of tire pressure).

Please post some pictures, I have had several Chevy trucks (not dually's) and haven't had a rubbing problem except with oversize tires.

Do you mean the chrome wheel covers?

Yes, the wheel cover. I will post a picture as soon as I can get around to taking one.

If it's the outer trim ring the spring clips are just weak and it lets it move.

These are on a dually, no trim ring like a 2500. I used thin canopy tape where the wheel contacts the cover towards the rim lip. Seemed to help mine.

I took the tire shield off of the drivers side and installed rubber weather stripping. It worked. Now I just need to do the passenger side. I used the medium gap D style. I wish I would have bought the large gap stuff, but it's working for now.:grd:

Also, didn't see any spring clips.
