With the GM Employee Discount Sale being apparently so successful, you guys must be getting tired of welcoming newbies to the board! But, thought I'd introduce myself anyway. This is my first diesel as well, so I have enjoyed reading the posts here and have already learned a great deal from the information you guys have taken the time to share. My Silverado will be used to haul an 18' Haulmark enclosed trailer that does double duty as a hauler for my Jeep Wrangler (TJ) as well as a camper for my wife and I when we get where we're going with the Jeep to go offroading. Hope to see some of you out on the road, and thanks for sharing your knowledge!

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the welcome. Regarding the TJ, I had previously been pulling that in the trailer with an '02 Grand Cherokee. :badidea: My friends compared it to at least looking like a Volkswagen pulling a motor home. That often provided excitement of a type that I didn't need, so, I am very much looking forward to seeing how the Duramax handles pulling through the mountains of Pennsylvania with the trailer on an upcoming trip. I'm sure it will be a MUCH more pleasurable ride.:)

Glad to have you LyleP. This place never gets overcrowded nor boring and it's open 24 hours a day. Think you'll really enjoy you new vehicle, I hope as much as I have enjoyed mine.

Another newbie here too. My first diesel. Coming out of a 2001 Dodge Ram w/ a 360 in it. It was a pretty good truck but she sucked the gas and the transmission shifted like a Hugo.
I've learned alot already from what little i've been on the site. Lotta a great people by the looks of it. :cool:
