Here it goes. A guy near me tells me he has the fastest diesel truck around and that he cannot be beat. There are about 15 of us around when he pulls up and starts running his mouth so plenty of witnesses. The truck is a 2004 f-250 6.0 powerjoke ext. cab 4x4. It has a banks kit with upper intake and 6 gun tuner. He also says he has injectors but that is prob. debateable upon how full of crap this guy is. He wants to run heads up at our 1/4 track for $1,000 cash. He said we coould both have someone hold the money at the starting line. I have not yet had my truck on the strip and would like to at least get some seat time in before we would race for that amount of money. I have tie rod sleeves now and have some traction bars that I am putting on. What do you guys think about this and do you think his 6.0 has a chance?? I have not heard of a diesel truck at our local track running faster than low 14's so far and I think the guy is full of Censored ! What is the fastest 6.0 ford has ever gone? I would run him and whipe his ass! But I would also try to get some runs before hand or atleast play on the street. Also manny brings up a good point. MAKE SURE THAT LIGHT IS GREEN before you leave. You will destroy him, no sense losing because you get froggy at the light and redlight. Do some searching on truck set up pointers or ask away. You have a single stage N2O?

He will probably not show, I'm sure he will come up with a ton of excuses.

The guy that does most of the hottest SCT tunes for the 6.0's lives right up the street from me. The Banks crap doesn't even compare to it!! The quickest they can get them with the SCT is about 13.5 on fuel. At that point they are maxing the injectors and nitrous does not do much, if anything on top of it:)

I hope to get to run him thurs. night or next week now. He says he has to work on thurs. when our street night is at the track and I am going to try to go to another sled pull on sat. to see how she does pulling. I will keep ya posted cause I am going to run him and call his bluff if he is-- Also I am going to try to go to the track on thurs. either way to get some practice in but I don't want the word gettin back to him and givin him a reason to back out! Also maybe check out my race weight on the scales- just dunno if thier scales will read that high:lol:

I have a 2004 6.0 liter Powerstroke. This guy is most likely making around 400 rwhp with the banks kit, tops. Sct can get the 6.0 to around 430 rwhp with the stock injectors. You start pushing the 6.0 over the 450 mark with drugs and it will toast a head gasket in no time unless the vehicle has headstuds. You'll kill him.

He never showed. He will not come around or talk to anyone since then. Just full ofCensored !!!! I went on the night we were supposed to race and layed down the 12 sec. pass. I think he got wind of it and decided better on it. I know have over 100rwhp more now, so I hope to get low 12's or high 11's now. Time will tell but I guess the bet is off. I was fun to think about it happening too o well TTL Nate:ro)

Let me correct you again GREG, "Mini Me" is NOT gutted out, it has a FULL interior in it, Stock motor except for ARP head studs, and stock turbo and tranny, and stock rear NOS, and an SCT Tune. "That" video is old, VERY old... The F250 is a 2003, and is runned by DJ's Diesel Performance. The ONLY "FORD" running Pro Street in the US... Pretty Embarassing huh Greg, that it takes a 6.0L to have the cojonez to compete with the big boys???:rolleyes:

I got to finally make it to the track last night and run with some more power. My best run of the night was 12.38@110mph. This was still stock turbo and stock injectors with a race weight of 6700lbs. I would like to get it in the 11's but don't know if I am at the limit without doing some other mods. Still have not seen the MIGHTY 6.0. It is getting harder to find people to race around here for some reason:lol: Later Nate

Stock Tranny will take the power, as long as the correct Shifting is used in the tranny programming file, yes I have been through my set of solenoids, But I run a STOCK, tranny... I have more than the proof of people have seen the truck on the Dyno, who are members of other boards, and were present when I laid those #'s down.

What I mean is I have changed out my share of solenoids inside the transmission so they keep applying the proper pressure, and dont burn my stock clutches out. All he needs is a good written transmission file for his SCT program, tell him to go with an "EXtreme" tune from "Eric" at Innovative Diesel, safe strong power, and tranny protection as he writes his files with tranny life in mind. He has a new "Extreme" out for the '05's that I have heard is extremely strong, but yet the tranny is well taken care off with the tranny file. If you need more info about him, PM me.;)

He should be able to run a 13.80 with an intake exhaust and the SCT "Extreme street file" in the '05's whcih are slower than the '03-'04 version due to the fact that they added 2 extra vanes to the VVT turbo. Thats why everyone complains about it taking forever to spool.
