Don't know if this is the right forum for this but on my LBZ I started to notice the other day while my heat was on the dash settings, comming up to a redlight hitting the brakes I got a quick smell of fluid. Got me thinking so I pulled into a parking lot and put moderate pressure on the brake pedal again....Same smell again. I got out my flashlight and looked around everything seems dry brake system wise but I have one wet hose that looks to be going from the brake system to the power steering pump....It's wet not soaked like everything around is wet. My brakes feel fine pressure wise along with my powersteering. Could it be leaking somewhere else thats just not noticable topside where i'm looking from? Anyone had a problem simular to this?

Santry426. it may very well be your lines, i have recently replaced mine 06 3500 4wd. 128000 miles-you will also want to check inside under dash where brake piston slides into hydroboost. Chevys are prone to leak here. its about a 2 hour job with basic tools if this is the problem. Check immediately or you will have a crap load of fluid in your floor board.

Ok, So A flashlight and crawling under will show if thats the case? If thats it what needs to be replaces just a seal or the whole hydroboost

krek007, I poked around by that seal and it seems to be dry not wetness or signs of something leaking into the cab...Anyone else?
