Well, trucks goin in on monday for new headgaskets and ATS headstuds. Friend is the mechanic and he is pullin the motor to work on it. What else should I replace while the motors out? Truck has 88K on it right now. Thanks guys.

I guess the question is what kind of budget do you have?

Well, dont wanna spend more than $4K total. Headgaskets n studs with labor will be right at $3K so ive got bout another grand to spend on anything else I need.

I would replace the waterpump, if it hasn't been done.

to do it right you'll be in to it for more than 4k. you don't need to pull the motor it's faster to raise the cab. most head gaskets i do the heads need to be machined because the sealing ring eats into the head. don't let anybody tell you can't machine them you can up to 5 thous. of an inch.
