first off i have to say the stuff taht is collectivly known here is wild. I have been lurking and reading here for a while i currently own a 96 6.5 dual wheel 3500. i have to replace it now as i had a few issues which seem to be solved right now thanks to here.at this point i have decided it will be a chevy over a dodge<ford waasnt even in it> i have read 50 or so posts here and i know this is kinda like a few others but i have learned
1 there are new figures for 06 as well as a 6sp tranny
2 i love gm but it is a firrst run of this tranny
3 i have found 5 suitable 2500hd extcab 8' trucks around 32k in my area msrp 44k
4 it seems the current incentivs give a good deal as opposed to 06
5 im not concerned with items that would be under warrentee ie injectors
6 the heaviest load id carry is my 01 jd 4500 tractor with the loader hoe and 5'disc trailer yet to be determined and dirt.i currently put about 2 yards in my truck<and once pulled a found on road dead 350 with this load> with np
so what is the consensus here do i go out and do this when i bought my jd i spent 28k i just went and did it had no idea what i was gettin and i can say it is great i love my jd tractor but id like to go into this a bit educated and it seems this is the place to learn before i drop the cash so what do i do here do i wait or sign...thanks for reading-mack
ps...are there any paralaxbills members out there...

If you want a new pickup, now is the time to buy it IMHO. You can research the dmax here and find all kinds of information about them. Although some of the members have had problems with their pickups, i believe that 99% of them would buy another without hesitating. Myself included. Just my .02

Pricing and incentives say buy now. I doubt that any difference between an 05 or 06 would not even be noticed cruising down the road.

Go for it! You might consider a 3500 with what you are towing and the occasional yard or two you will carry. ;) Are dually's out of the question. We have our own club you know! :ro)Fewer limitations with a 3500 as well! JJ :)
