I am new to the site and diesels in general.

I've always wanted one and with the current incentives it may be the right time to get one.

Here is the deal I have worked with the Local Dealer.

2005 Silverado 2500HD
LT Trim Package

HD Power Package
Bed Rail Protectors
Spare Tire Lock
Rear Seat Entertainement System
XM Radio
HD Trailering Equipment

MSRP is 49,084

"GM Employee" Price - 38565

Subtract the $3000 Cash Allowance

Leaves the Price at - 35,565.

They are giving me 16,000 on trade for my 2003 GMC Sierra Extended Cab Z71 with 85K Miles.

So the Total outta my pocket right now would be... 19,065.

Does this sound like a decent deal?

I haven't tried to negotiate the price at all.. I don't really know if I can complain much about 13K Off the Sticker.

Is there room for more?

I would suggest double checking the GM Employee Price.
Most of the ones that I have seen INCLUDE the $3000 incentive.

He's right about the $3K being included in the discount already. It does sound like a good deal and there isn't much room left for more negotiations although if you were good, you could have some perks (car washs, hats, shirts, oil changes, etc...) thrown in to sweeten the deal. Don't forget about TTL also (they won't charge you tax on your trade in amount). Go for it!

I think there is $1500.00 for gm loyalty on top of the gm employee discount.

Your dealer or the Chevrolet website under special offers. I have not heard of this being part of the package though.

Our local dealer is giving the employee pricing and loyality rebate of $1500.00. New '05 D-max/alli/cc/sb loaded LS = $33,900.00
