06 Durmax Silverado, 4X4, 70K, bone stock.
While stuck in some mud yesterday I was trying to "rock" my way back and forth and stomped on the brakes fairly hard a few times. Thinking back, it felt a bit funny... almost like when the anti-lock kicks in but I really wasn't paying that much attention to the brakes.
So, after getting pulled from the mud and throughout normal driving today, I noticed the brakes are much more sensitive (i.e. work much better). Basically, more power with less push on the pedal. So, is there a computer or some other sensor that reacts and changes to brake pedal movements? I'm thinking not but since there's so much other "high-tech" stuff on these trucks I figured it's worth a shot.
I've had no codes or other signs of a problem and, in reality, the brakes are working better than they used to. Should I be worried?
fwiw.... the mud I was stuck in is just a wet spot in the field behind my house that I had to drive through to get an old roll of fence. It's the closest thing to "off-road" my truck has seen in the last 50K miles. I'm on pavement 99.99% of the time.
