I have an 02 5 speed LB7 and am looking for feedback on the transgo jr. without dropping the trans.

Has anyone done this??

If so what do you think? Would you do it again??

I know it will not help the strength of the trans but... has anyone had sucess in improved shifting.

I am running an Edge w/*** on level 2 or 3 and would like to improve the shifting. I do not have the money to have the trans dropped, and I do not race, but would like a little more positive shifting.

Has anyone had success with the no drop method on the LB7 or am I just wasting my time.

I tried to search, but, since "jr" is not allowed... it was not successful.

i dont have any real experience with it myself but from what i have heard the trans go jr will do nothing for the 5 spd lb7 unless you do a full trans go with an otherwise built trans (clutches, converter etc.). hopefully others will chime in that know details.

not true...the jr. will do exactly to the 5spd as it does to the 6 spd wich is leak main line pressure giving more pressure to the clutches improving holding power...now it works better on the 6spd becasue the internals have been improved where they havnt on the 5spd thts why it works way better on the newer trans. so yes it will improve shifts and help all around slighly.

Trans go JR is about useless on the LB7. LB7 needs the full trans go. And yes it will help and a lot of people have had a lot of success on it

Transgo jr will help C3 and C4 clutches. That means a little better holding power in 2nd,3rd, and 5th on a 5 speed. On a 6 speed it will also help 6th.

The biggest thing is that you shouldn't let the trans-go give you a false sense of security ans should still stick to the normally recommended power levels if you want your trans to last, you'll just have some extra insurance that it will hold up.

From past experiencing on upgrades...

Save the money and get it done right, you will be better off in the long run.

or save enough to suit your needs for better shifting and durability
