Who sells a 6.5 down pipe with a thermo-cuple adapter already in place? Anyone ?

Dear wi65td,
I have a banks stinger system. The down pipe came with the pyrometer mounting bung all ready installed. hope that helps. Might check "heath diesel" also.
FYI , don't forget, where you put the pyrometer dictates how the temps read. If you install it right in the exhaust manifold (pre-turbo) 1300 is ok. For mine installed below the turbo safe max temp is 1050ish.

Barry, just a word of caution here. I think 1050 (ish) post turbo could be a little high from everything I've heard here. Maybe if it was right at the flange but most of the probes are quite a ways down the pipe so personally I don't let mine get over 900-925. I'm not trying to be pickey here or anything, I'm sure it would be fine for the occasional (short) trip into the 1050 range, but for those of us that have some loooong hills to pull, at the cost of an engine I like to err to the safe side. Food for thought. By the way, Flowmaster makes a nice downpipe/crossover pipe combo. I am not sure if the pyro bung is already in place or not....but I think it is.

Heath's already has the bung in place. I don't let mine get over 900. Of course, running a high boost, I hardly have to watch it anymore.

I have a BD 3" down pipe with the pyro sensor a ways away from the turbo. BD recomends 900* max. Have had it since 2001 and stay at 900 or below on hills. No problems yet.
