Im currently running the Rancho 4" lift kit on my '08 2500 and was curious if anyone else here is running the same kit but has leveled out the truck by adjusting the torsion bars. Mine sits lower in the front like stock and Id like to have the truck sit level or the front a little higher then the rear. Has anyone on here done it? Put in your .02 cents. Likes and dislikes. Maybe post up some pics.

Maybe I will just do it and post up pics. Id also like to know how much the geometry and ride quality were effected. As of right now I would actually like to stiffen up the front a little so thats just an added perk I guess. Any comments are welcome, and yes, I searched...til my eyes were crossed ;)

Well if you crank up your bars a little it won't effect your ride. Just make sure you have about 3/4in between the upper bump stops and the a-arm other wise you'll start having a harsher ride. I take it with the lift you have the basic shocks it came with? If so you could upgrade to some bilstiens to for a little stiffer but more controlled ride.

I just had a 4'' Rancho installed and the front is level; maybe too high for pulling my 5th wheels. ( Who also needed a lift kit ! )

Put smaller blocks under the rear

I like the ride height of the rear so I dont want to get shorter blocks.

And without sacrificing too much ride quality or messing with the geometry too much Id like to get enough height to level out the truck by adjusting the torsion bars. I would like to know if anyone has done this with the Rancho lift and what their opinion on the ride quality, geometry angles, etc are.

mine sits level and the ride is alright still better than stock but i will be adjusting the torsion bars back down because i like the racked look better.

a 4" Rancho of Tuff Country uses 2" blocks in the rear. This is still low enough to tow most fifty wheels. It works on my Cougar and my trailer is kinda low compared to some others.

4" inch in the front and 2" in the back sits about level.

adjusted the torsion bars today with a little free time I had. Got the levelled look I was looking for with 3.5 turns.

still seems to ride the same and it looks like there is a tiny bit of positive camber now so I will probably take the truck in this week to get realigned

How much air gap is there between the frame stop and the upper control arm? If you have 3/4" of an inch or better you should be golden according to most people. Ride should be just fine.

theres a little less than an inch so I think Im good. Not a harsh ride at all. Feels the same as it did before but there is a llittle bit of positive camber so I will have to take it in to get realigned
