: newbie from Maine
mike207 01-02-2010, 05:55 PM Well, I have been checking out this site for a while and finally got myself an 07 classic 2500hd SLT loaded to the gills. My question is this. It came with a Juice attitude controller with 5 or so settings from stock to extreme. What kind of power and torque is this adding with 5 inch exhaust?
I'll try to post some pics of it tomorrow. Thanks everyone
jbrown1132 01-02-2010, 06:28 PM welcome to the forum. i'm not sure of the hp rating, you could try looking up the edge website to get the info. unless you have a built tranny, take it easy on the higher than 100hp settings and it'll last longer.
KevinBo6GT 01-02-2010, 06:30 PM Welcome to the site man, post some pics of your ride!!!
Tanc Crusher 01-02-2010, 06:52 PM Welcome to the forum. Goto Edge site and read up on the Edge you you have. And agreed to stay at 90HP or under. Watch WOT (wide open throttle) in the 4th and up gears as well as up and down shifts too. Weakest dual clutch pack set is the 4th gear. Easy to smoke the clutches with high HP tunes.

mike207 01-02-2010, 06:58 PM So with high hp tunes you need extra tranny work?
Tanc Crusher 01-02-2010, 07:12 PM Yeah the allison is a good for stock HP but they were built to the specs needed. Also the torque converters can go bad since a single disc. Many built allisons go with triple disc.

dan06z71 01-03-2010, 08:36 AM Welcome aboard. Nice to see another New Englander in here. Grew up in VT, now live in MA.
Nice looking truck. I like the wheels.
Does that Edge have a monitor setup? If not I would say get some gauges so you can watch what is going on.
mike207 01-03-2010, 08:50 AM It does.
toddol1971 01-03-2010, 04:18 PM I thought I read somewhere that stock dmax's will do ok to about 160 hp before trouble.
Tanc Crusher 01-03-2010, 04:40 PM Not seen that. i see like 70 to 90HP on stock system but anything over stock causes quicker wear and tear. If your that high it is recommend not to be at wide open throttle in the 4th and higher gears same applies to up and downshift at wide open throttle.

carter_44 01-03-2010, 04:59 PM welcome to the site and nice truck. as said above stick with the lower settings unless you are ready to spring for a trans upgrade. the general rule is that an 80-100 additional hp is the max on a stock trans. however, i have seen guys run a 500rhwp tune on a stock trans for a good while and not have problems but you should be careful. if you want a hot rod get a trans in there are some serious tuning. lots of good info on this site. start reading up.
