What are the lightest wheels out there for our truck? Steel wheel?
Also, what tire are most guys running at the track?...ie, rim size, width.
I figure a shorter tire will help gearing a bit.

PYO's are the lightest rim I think.

Are you talking wheels that will be strictly used for drag racing?

Yes but I want to find something that is commonly available and will accommodate a wide enough tire. I don't really want to spend the money on Welds or a purpose built drag wheel.
I want to find something that fairly common but will be slated for strictly drag strip usage.

Sorry, I wish I had more info to give you. It's just that PYO's are so little 16/6.5 wide and so light 23 pounds or something. They are really hard to beat. Plus they are common and cheap.

Bump it up.
Just getting ready to post something similar.
Can we run a non E or D load tire from some track beaters? No towing or hauling duty...just dragstrip.

I am sure we can as long as the weight capacity of the tires is higher than the weight of the tuck on the axels.
