Has anyone ever painted their wheels? I want to paint mine black. Not enough cash for 19.5s so I will have to suffer. My stock paint is starting to look like puke. -:tWhat paint will stick (that I can reasonably apply my self)? Cash problem again. :grd:

Funny.....I was thinking of painting mine black as well. If I don't like it, I can always go back to what they are now.
Not sure what paint to use......guess I'll ck out Krylon and Rustoleum.....:driver:

just a friendly tip..don't use krylon or rustoleum on wheels.. the finish is terrible.. most parts stores will carry a "wheel paint" that is made by Dupli-Color. I used it on the upper and lower intake of my car.. the finish is smooth, shiny, and will not rub off on your hands. I've also got pics of some wheels done..I'll try and find them.

I used some on a trailer I restored, it looks good. But I also blasted the wheels first and then primed. I would prolly recommend that for good adhesion.

I just had mine powdercoated body color for 325.00. That's for 6 wheels!

Right on I will have to check in on powder coating. I just hate to be without my truck while they bake it on. :rant:

also check out John Deere's spray paint. It is amazing for a rattle can paint. Has a really good spray tip on it.

I just had my 22.5s painted black. They used a acid etching primer and then PPG paint. They look great. Powder coating doesnt always leave a mirror finish. I left the Lug nut covers chrome. I wanted to try something different.
