Im getting ready to tow about 3-4000 lbs to Bowling green Ky from VA. Ive seen some posts that the tranny should not be above 230. it runs just under 200 unloaded. What should i do if the tranny does get above that? Tranny Fluid was changed 7,000 miles ago. Just thinking that with the high temps weve had the last couple days it might get too hot.

That isn't much weight for these trucks. You shouldn't see anywhere near 230*. Still would use tow haul though. Have a safe trip. JJ :)
