Ok folks need some help…
Symptoms:
Surging when maintain 1400-1600 RPM. (Doesn’t do it when getting into the throttle or letting off.)
Short shifts 4th gear, and then has trouble picking which gear (4th or 5th) to stay in when in the RPM range of 1600-2000.
I get the same codes everyday:
U0100 – TCM; Lost comm. w/ECM
P0700 – ECM, TCM; TCM request MIL.
U0073 – ECM, TCM; High Speed CAN comm. Bus
I’ve read every thread on all 3 of the codes (well I think I have) and have tried the following.
Checked grounds, check wires/harnesses for chafing, bent, broken and or cut wires. Replaced the Fuel filter, transmission filter and fluid, air filter. Replaced the NSBU switch (in the dark and in the rain about 40 min ago… loads-O-fun) Promise I’m not trying to be a nube…I don’t ever post becauseI can typically read the threads here and figure out my problems…any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try removing the banks kit. You may have a bad connection.

Get a real code scanner that can pull all the codes. The P0700 is a generic code from the transmission telling the PCM to turn on the CEL...thats all it does. There is going to be another code(s) in your transmission telling you whats wrong. Example, most of the time when I slip I get a P0735 5th gear incorrent ratio code. I can see it with my Equus scanner but not my Predator. Predator and probably Banks as well, only see engine codes.

I forgot to mention that I have removed the Banks completely, cleared the codes and still have the same symptoms and the same codes pop up...I do currently have it back in cuz its a dog without it...

Yeah, I knew the P0700 is a "generic" code...I was hoping the other codes and symptoms would be enough to figure out what might be the problem... I'll take it to my buddy's shop tomorrow and have him scan it for me...he's got a 'real' scanner...i'll be in the field hunting for the next five days:snipersmi
I'll post on monday what he pulls...thanks for the suggestion skleppy

srxo2, yeah...mine is acting very similar to what you're describing...mine has been doing this for about 2 months...I'm a real cheap ass and wont take it to a dealer until I've exhausted all of my resources in trying to fix it myself...if, no WHEN i figure out what to problem is I'll make sure to post what the fix or fixes are...if you figure out what it is please let me know:thumb:
