Haven't heard of any other reports of cracked fenders that werent man made.

Where did it crack, where the lower brace mounts to the fender at the bottom inside of fender?

If your truck is only 10 months old but over mileage I would try to call GM and get a advisor involved, I think they have 5 year rust through warranty so maybe you can try to get it repaired with that some how.

Good luck

Yeah, it's cracken at the front mount'n bars! I frequent the GM diesel site and there are several guy's with this problem. I was check'n here to see if it was as prevelant as I've been led to believe. Some were "offroaders" but not all. My case is all highway miles. There is power in numbers, and this is the place to find numbers! Do you think GM started replacing LB7 injectors out of kindness, I doubt it!

I just traded a 01 Doolly. 122,000 miles on it, no fender cracks any where. No injector troubles either.

I have an 02 with 156,000 miles on it. The drivers side fender has a hole and a crack- backed into something. The otherside is fine......

My running boards have an attachment next to the wheel well and when I stepped on the box board (fat a$$ that I am) it pulled the bolt through with a piece of the fender....Doh! Anyways turned out one of the braces for the box board was not installed. I got the brace installed, but no compensation for the fender.
