I bought a PMD from Pensacola... I have yet to use it though lol... I did test it and it works on my truck so thats a start. They advertised Dtech PMD but it was a WAP but a WAP is just a rebranded Dtech but still... they should say its a WAP not Dtech :/.

Buy it.

I've bought 3 in the past year for myself and a few friends. All 3 trucks have had no failures at all. They shipped fast and I have great communication skills.

The PMD's they sell are alot thicker than the older ones. Must be a new and improved thing. Who knows. Oh yeah, they give you a 1 year warranty too.

Make sure the PMD is mounted out of your engine bay!!!!

Same here that's where I got my Dtech from, great deal no issues here either and it beats the hell out of spending 500 bucs

Yes, I would recommend them from my own experience. The price was great and shipping was fast. I was going to mount the new one on the intake but I had a problem getting the wiring harness out of the intake. They sent me a 6 foot extension (with no shipping charge) the next day. No more problems with my truck to this day!

i ordered one for my truck. and yes make sure they are not mounted in the engine bay. as you will see, the heat sink is nice and small so you CAN NOT mount it on the intake.

Yes, and I believe it only cost me $40.00 more than the PMD with heatsink and resistor IIRC.

I just bought the relocation kit today. I live in Milton, FL so I just went and picked it up. Only $300 after the tax. I work at Advance Auto and the PMD is around $350. So its way cheaper to get it from PFI with the relocation kit. The only problem is it is cold and I'm getting ready to freeze my butt off putting it on!

Yeah I bet its cold there! There calling for snow tomorrow though. That's pretty dang cold for here. I got the PMD mounted. It took longer to fish the plug in out from under the intake then to run the harness and mount the PMD. I put it behind the license plate mount on the inside of the bumper.

Glad you got it going, hope you have many miles & smiles...

Mine went bad right after I bought my truck in Oct. Lucky for me it waited to start acting up until after I got home from a 1400 mile fishing trip. The new Dtech PMD lined mine out & has been fine now since late Oct...can't beat the $ for the Dtech from Pensicola :thumb:

I would not have found that smoking deal for the brand new PMD without the help of some members here at this site...Thanks again you know who you are!
