I was wondering what tire would be the best to run. I have an 07 classic 4wd crew cab short box. Currently I have Bridgestone duelers on it. 15000 miles and they are junk. I found out that bridgestone discontiuned these tires, and now I know why.

Try aset of 265 or 285 Nitto a/t's. Get them in 10 ply and keep them rotated. These tires are very quiet on the road and do excellent in rain and snow. I have over 50k on a set of 285/16's on a set of PYO's and they still have decent tread on them.

Anything might be better than those Bridgestones. ;) All kidding aside, I've always had good luck with Coopers and I've recently run Toyo Open Country tires on both of my trucks with unexpected ride comfort and handling.

What is important to you in a tire? Lots of choices that can be narrowed down if you give some idea of how you want to use them and what performance characteristics are important to you.

I too had a set of the Bridgestones Dualer Revo A/T 's and they sucked! I am currently running a set of Michelin XLT M/S 165's (got about 25K on them) and even though they are the best highway ride I've had on the truck they're not too good in mud. I burn up the highway so they are great but I'm thinking about buying a set of more agressive to swap back and forth (I actually just want some new wheels!) Just say no to Firestone AT tires. Those tires are dangerous on wet pavement! good luck.

My 265 revo's have 55,000 miles on them with 7/32 tread left, I replaced them with new for the winter but will put them back on in the spring to run out the rest of the tread life. My truck runs heavy most of the time 7,820 lbs. with my tools and things and I have Centramatic wheel balancers on the truck. I rotate about every 10 to 15,000 miles. The revo's have been good to me. Im running my 4th set of bridgestone duelers revo's on my trucks. I have about 41000 miles on mine now. They are almost shot but i will get another 5000 till I have the money to buy more. They pulled me thrugh some deep mud pulling 10000lbs . BFG's suck I was stuck in 2" of mud 3 days after i put them on and they were shot at 30000 miles. I just looked on bridgestones website and I don't see that the dueles were discontiuned.

Bridgestone has about 6 or 7 different types of "Dueler" tire. most are aimed at the car/light SUV crowd and are junk for our trucks. the 2 that are made for our trucks have a very high rating from people that run them; not just the "testing company". having run both Dueler Revo 2's, Transforce AT's (currently), Cooper AT's, Nitto Terra Grapplers, Toyo Open Country AT's and a couple of others I would not run the Coopers again because of mileage/per wear was low. any others the others would depend on who would give me the best deal at the time of sale when I need to replace.
