I went to Future shop yesterday to buy a new fandangled cd/dvd player for my truck. So i find one that i like and im talking to the sales men, and he tells me that i need to buy this 150 dollar wire harness for my truck! Is this just to get more money from me or what? With my 94 all i did was splice the cd player's plug onto the factory wiring. Any thoughts?

If you don't need onstar or the door dinger,you can buy a metra 70-2003. You will need to connect the red wire from the radio to a pigtail (included in the package) that goes to an ignition fuse.

Other wise you need the 150.00 kit.
