Has anyone put the new Corsa exhaust system on their Dmax yet? I'm interested in the cat-back system and would like to get some feedback. Any information would help.

We have been putting them on trucks here at work. ( I work at a local Chev dealership here in Utah). They look pretty good, all hangers are in perfect location to use the factory hangers and all clamps are good quality. The muffler is quite big and doesnt make any more noise than stock as far as I can hear. I almost wish that I had known about this system before I bought my MBRP system, but I dont think Corsa has a dual system and I love my Cool Duals. Nothing like rolling smoke out of both sides at once!!!!!!! It is a clean system though.

Hello.....i was just going to post an ad but i might as well reply to yours. I purchased my corsa exhaust through monroe truck in Wis. I took it to their joliet ill, branch to get it installed. I paid 844 for the exhaust and 180 for the down pipe. installation was 135. total with taxes was 1231.44. I would have installed it myself but i am building a house right now...so all my time goes into that.

I am pleased with the exhaust allthough, i really have nothing to compare it to since i havent ever had any other exhaust. At idle the exhaust is same as stock from inside the cab.....and a little louder standing by the exhaust. it gets a really nice tone as you climb higher into the rpm's. the turbo seems to spool up a lot faster its almost instant. Its more pricy than competors....but it seems to be a nice system. Good luck I have a 2004 lb7 cc sb...no cat...

Looking for a real quiet system - is the Corsa quiet at cruising? Do you have any drone at any speed?
Thanks!

I wanted to report my findings on the Corsa exhaust.
I installed a Corsa 4" exhaust on my truck this summer, around July.
It took me about 4 hours but no special skills (I am an amateur and SLOW!).:o:
I removed right shock from rear axle and jacked up truck by bumper to aid removal / installation. I took out the old system w/o cutting. I did not replace the front pipe (no cat). I started truck w/ just turbo and front pipe; I was surprised how quiet the motor is w/ no muffler or tailpipe (I did not drive it, so no load on motor.
The installation went very smoothly and Corsa provided new gasket to mate to front pipe, new bolts, and strap clamps that look pretty robust. My only hyper critical comment on the installation: the tailpipe turns out about an inch too soon and is very close to the leaf spring when suspension is in full extension. I have not or noticed any contact in normal on-road driving.

Driving
I started the truck and revved it up after I was finished installing. I was surprised (and slightly disappointed) how quiet it was. I then took it for a little drive around town. I was pleased w/ the sound when under load. My wife doesn't think it is any better or worse just different. There is very light drone at about 16-1800. I am a critical automotive engineer and evaluator, and I would call the drone just noticeable if you are looking for it. My wife and kids have not complained. I tow a 7000 lb trailer, and I am happy w/ noise level while towing. I did not want an obnoxiously loud rig that would give me a headache after long towing trips; just a nice sound and a little more "manly" rumble. I am happy w/ my purchase.
I would recommend the Corsa system for the Duramax.

I have a motor back CORSA exhaust. There is no droning at all, especially @hwy speed. It rips when you get on it,nice sound. Quite pricy though. Very pleased.

I run a magnaflow catless and I have a drone at 55-62ish. After that its gone with the rpms. I have only heard it from the outside once on the exhaust side and it sounded good. I usually only hear the motor though. I do like the burble when the EGR valve kicks off. It sounds awesome at idle untill that thing turns back on and its all quiet again.

I put the Corsa on my truck around June. It was my second Corsa exhaust, as I had put one on my Z/28 a few years back. I very high quality product, with a lot of R&D behind it. The installation took about 45 minutes, and everything fits like a glove. The exhaust note is just slightly deeper than stock at idle, and there is no drone at all when at cruising speed or towing. I got mine for about $775 from the dealership where I bought the truck. It's a very high-quality product, as well as a GM licensed accessory, so there is absolutely no warranty issues with it.
