http://www.sjgreatdeals.com/pacaoemgm24.html is where I bought the one for my truck and two of my buddies trucks. They have the best deal I've seen for them! ($31.95)

Ida know. That's why JPcustoms was nice. I told him what I had, what I wanted to do, and he told me what I needed.

You can go to PAC's website and read about each model to figure out which one you want.

Turbo LCC,

AOEM-GM24 should be the one, that's the one my friends and I are all using with no problems. We all have the Bose System with the 6 disc changer. I don't think the 6 disc makes a difference as long as it's a Bose. Here's the website with the application guide. http://www.pac-audio.com/oem1kits/aoemresults.cfm?aoemSearch=GM&Submit=Search+for+AOEM-1+kits

Sierra DMax,
What problems are you having and what are you trying to do with it (replace deck and keep factory amp OR add aftermarket amps to factory deck)? I've done a few of these and might be able to help.

who did the install , where did you get the parts, did you just try to use a pac unit with your factory unit, or did you upgrade to nav unit ,...I just went through all this and used a pac aoem GM-24 and ther are some cautions to take

I ordered a pac gm24 unit from a guy on ebay, seemed reputable. I'll know next week when it comes and I put it in.

I am going to change the way I have my sub setup. Instead of using a line-amp device from the Bose Sub, I think I'll get better audio by taking my audio directly from the head unit before the Bose amp massages the bass frequencies. I figure my Kenwood amp with its own adjustable cross-over will be better than the Bose one.

.
The pac unit ,if it is a aoemGM-24 is a plug and play unit , use the rear out puts on the pac . tie the remote turn on lead from the pac to ignition source, that way your amp will not drain your battry when not driving ,you can work on your truck and roll windows down, and not have that amp draining your juice.(believe me it can, and will happen in the least faverable time and place) ,you still get the factory bose sub to listen too when wired this way...

busta,

I am adding 2 8" subs under the rear seat and I want to keep the factory Bose stereo on my 05 dmax. I have the aoem-gm24 and I think I need this instead

c21-gm24 (http://www.pac-audio.com/products/oem1.htm)

then why isn't mine working? The remote turnon light is on with the amplifier but no signal at all... even with a small rca test speaker hooked up to a 9 volt....

Check to make sure that your using the input feed remote wire to the ignit. source, its the one that has the white sticker on it that says connect to b-3 in the factory harness, run that wire to ignit. It may say go to b-3 but not all trucks are wired the same ,(you can thank the General for that). so don't eaven use it because you could be tapping into a data line and not knowing it.If all your wiring is corect (be diligent and double check) and still no sound from subs, check the remote turn on wire at amp, with a voltage meter,(12 vlts. or 14when running) to see if your getting propper signal feed. If you are and still no sound, check amp (is it old or new?) and all grounds. and all speaker leads +to+ -to- , if still no power, do a little scientific wire wigling with all plugs,(you would be supprised at how manny GM pins don't fit or come loose when pulling on the harnesses). At last check that you are using the rear rca outputs for your sub amp on the pac unit, and that the gains on the pac unit are turned up, they are on the face of the pac unit where the 4 holes are , use a tiny flathead to turn clockwise to turn up good luck I hope this helps.. Quick question for you, how do I post a pic for my signiture area? or any where else?

where does the aoemGM-24 get wired to? In behind the stock radio or in the console of your truck? I am thinking of getting one of these units and was just wondering...

In The Stock Radio Harness ,and Run The Blue Remote Power Wire To Hot Ignition Switch Or Hot Fuse Tap At Ignition On

thanks C.A.P

I already have wired a LLC to the wires under the console and is working fine but have no remote turn on lead.... so far just manualy turning on and off the amp via a wire in remote jammed in the +12v on the amp. I know :shootself but it works for now. will probably get the real deal tonight online.
