What is the recommended size for the tires on the 19.5 wheels
225/70/19.5 (32" diameter)
245/70/19.5 (33.1" diameter)
Price difference is not worth discussing.
Any thoughts. I have the front lifted and with my P235/85/16 Revo's, I have not experienced any rubbing. I think their diameter for those are 31"

I like the 245's. Are you going with the 6 or 6.75 width wheel?

Road Boss,
Choice is still mine, wheels have not been ordered yet. I know that the 245's can mount on either, you have any input? I am going to order Rickson LTS wheels

Something to mull over , all the 19.5 tires I have seen are 75 MPH speed rated , I spoke to a tire guy I know and trust and he said likley the rating is based on Max wieght /max temp/and a extended time at that speed , but this is a consideration to be based on your driving habits and who is in the truck with you. (kids/old people you want to keep around) The tire rating is such most of us are never going to be even close to the load capacity.

Road Boss,
Thanks. Do you have some pictures of them on your truck that I can see?
I have been doing further research on this swap. Good questions have surfaced from a lot of people. Below is my assessment to date.
Tires are not rated to high MPH. We could argue going 80+ in a truck this large is not the best thing to be doing anyway, however there are times I am flying.
Ride quality with 19.5 tires. Some have made comments the ride will be a bit stiffer. However I cannot imagine it being any worse than having a lift kit.
I am still uncertain on the front tire wear. Will I really get that much better overall wear? The rears are a fore gone conclusion. They will last and last.
Appears to be no steering component fatigue issues with larger set up
The rear tire gap is correct in back again
Weight ratings is way over what I would ever need
Road Boss, On the 245's, do you have any rubbing in the front. I currently have P235's which are pretty close in over all diameter and from time to time, I have this slight rub on the after market Husky front mudflaps. This is definitely how they are molded, not a factory rubbing issue. I may have to dispense with them. I am guessing you have running boards?
CARHAULER: Thanks for your input. This is not a cheap swap out and I want to be sure I have heard from as many people with them or have had them before I do the swap. The first quick gratification is the way they look, but as we know, looks can be nice but all the bad things associated with that can take away from the cosmetic benefits.

DD, I'm in the same boat as you are. I don't have the 19.5 yet. Beerman is putting 265's on his with a Rancho 4'' lift. He is going to let me know how they fit. I want to make sure I get this right the first time.

You will have to trim your platic if you go 245's I have the Rickson 225's and have about an inch clearance on the front tires.
I had them on an 04.5 SRW, and I just got the dually, so I may not even put them on as I don't need that much tire.
