: Snow!!!! Fun!!!
Jodean 12-25-2009, 07:34 PM Had to go out in the cold and putt my front driveshaft on, then select 4wd with a vise grip, since the i havent figured out what to do with the differnt shifter mech, the 241 has a similar stud, just a differnt angle....
anyhow had to go have some fun!!
Well it just started the second half of the storm now, heres some pics of about 2 hours ago, had to take the truck out as well. We are supposed to get about what we have tonight again, these drifts are huge now, cant even image what tomorrow will look like.

T_F_E 12-25-2009, 08:32 PM Thats a really good looking truck you have there.
mtjasper 12-26-2009, 03:54 PM Damn thats a lot of snow, I wish we had half of that...
Lets see that video
Jodean 12-27-2009, 12:25 PM Here ya go, wife doesnt do very well filming but she got some of it, i made it through the drift at the stop sign, and after i waited for the engine to cool down i made it through the one in the field when im backed up and you can see the huge tire imprints where the dodge ran through. Fun times!!! wish i had better videos of it though.
I guess that pulling the fan off didnt work so well for playin in the snow. right after i was heating up, i put the fan back on and we terrorized a section of town, it was all at least a foot deep then the drifts were deeper, amazing, they didnt plow some of the streets for 2 days!!

Dieseldad97 12-27-2009, 12:43 PM Good looking pics and vid! The amount of snow you have looks like my house haha.
mtjasper 12-27-2009, 04:14 PM Looks like fun! Wish we could do stuff like that around here!
Bigboytoys 12-30-2009, 03:46 AM I went and did a little service work to my 86 Burban and went to take her out to play in the snow today and low and behold the starter took a dump on me. Another project to do.....
Jodean 12-30-2009, 10:03 AM i think my starter may be next......im pretty sure someone put a direct drive on mine, it was new when i got it, but with my wvo testing i was hard on it the first couple months......live and learn....
Bigboytoys 12-30-2009, 11:00 AM I think mine is self inflicted also, packed full of mud from fun on the farm he he he!
Bigboytoys 01-04-2010, 02:05 AM Yep, 3 days of evenings, the warmest -28 coldest -37, 3 1/2 starters, 1 lost oil pan heater, 2 batteries and a few beer later I finally got my 86 to run yesterday and went playing in the snow!
Now for the funny part, I got pulled over in my own hay field. Apparently they were "looking" for poachers. Oh well had a laugh and went back to it again.
Jodean 01-04-2010, 10:11 AM well wheres the videos?? what the hell did those guys roll up on sleds or what?
Bigboytoys 01-04-2010, 07:17 PM Video's are to big to post but I made a few believers in how well chains work in snow. It's a beaten old toy truck and she got a work out that night, but still nothin for snow depth like you were in.
My 1/4 borders a main hi way on one side, he made it pretty plain they wanted to talk to us when he pulled into my lane with the spot lights, wig wags and sirens on! Turns out it was some one I went to high school with but he didn't know I lived there. My two great pyrenees that weigh 120 + each scared the hell out em though, but their friendly, just wanted to see what all the commotion was.
awspc 01-04-2010, 07:58 PM yeah we had that much snow down here in viborg did some snow busting found out i have a bad cv axle nice older chevy

Jodean 01-05-2010, 06:45 PM same here, its old but not rusty, but its still has all the usual problems and i still love it regardless. Just something about those years of trucks....
4320Diesel 01-06-2010, 08:02 AM that video is awsome. i loved the part where you get told" you never listen to me!" i laughed out loud at that one lol
Gungnir 01-09-2010, 08:04 AM Yep, 3 days of evenings, the warmest -28 coldest -37, 3 1/2 starters, 1 lost oil pan heater, 2 batteries and a few beer later I finally got my 86 to run yesterday and went playing in the snow!
Now for the funny part, I got pulled over in my own hay field. Apparently they were "looking" for poachers. Oh well had a laugh and went back to it again.
