IMO, its a wire shorting out in the steering column. might be the multifunction switch, but im not sure if horn wiring goes thru it.

it may also be you clock spring that’s behind your steering wheel, this part is what allows electricity to flow from the stationary collom to your moving steering wheel. do you have any lights on in the dash?

Clockspring is airbag and steering wheel controls only. The horn is still old-fashioned.

I have a 2002 3500 that does the same thing, I tried cleaning all the contacts with electrical cleaner. It is not when the engine is cold it is when the truck is cold, once the heat is cranked long enough it goes away. It does not do this in warm weather. It reminds me of an old car I had, when it was cold it wouldnt start, but when I ran a hair dryer on the coil she would fire right up, which leads me to expansion and contraction, I dont know or cant enough of the components in the steering column to determine what this could be.
Does anyone know of a relay that may cause this issue. I will add it has to be in the steering column as it only does it when I turn the wheel and the truck is cold. Ready to cut the wire and put a button on the dash or just put a kill switch in and keep it off till the cab is warmed up. I get a lot of dirty looks when I drive in cold weather, I fear I may be killed by some psycho who doesnt like being honked at.

ok, funny yours does this also, as mine will do this with my remote start when cold if I do not unlock or lock the doors first.

Do you have aftermarket remote started on your ride also?

I had an old S10 that did this. The contracts in the horn button where out of shape and when the plastic horn button was cold it would beep. If had it go off while sitting in the drive one day. Gave up on fixing it and just unhooked the horn.

I am with you I believe it may be the wiring, I changed the angle of the tilt steering, and it does it less often.
