I think I have narrowed down my choices of a programmer to either Superchip or Diablo. Hypertech gets slammed for using too much fuel pressure to build power, causing premature wear. I tow a lot and want the passing power. They probably all work good, I would like the one that is considered the best for longevity of the motor. Im guessing this is probably a fine line,,but what the hell, it gives us something to talk about!? Thanks, Frank

Does it really do that?

"Somewhere" I read it forces constant fuel into the engine and causes premature wear. I havent studied all the different programmers enough to know s***., but I take what I read with a grain of salt,,,who REALLY knows?? I am just guessing the major names have it together. I wish there was a long term use study out there,,but like a gas motor, more HP means less life, usually. I know a lot of it depends on the driver and his maintenance. ???What the heck,,I just want to do it because I CAN!! :muahaha:

WELL IF YOU REALLY DONT MINE SPENDING A LITTLE XTRA go ahead and get the edge juice and attitude it is very nice and ajust on the fly and has all the hp you will want. but if you dont feel like spending 700.00 go with the diablo it is a very strong 120 hp but be careful with the egts they get pretty warm with the diablo

If your towing you want atleast a pyro. If you want pyro and boost the edge with an attitude is fairly competitive price wise if you factor in the cost of gauges and pod with the other programers.

Between the options mentioned I would definately go with the Predator. VERY tough to beat for under $400.

I don't know for sure if it does, but I've never run across any literature that states the Hypertech raises fuel rail pressure.

Thanks for the input, guys! I just ordered the Superchip from my local 4wheelparts. It was a better price than the Diablo and my money is spread thin with other vehicles that actually NEED parts.LOL! Ratlover,,great name!! Frank
