Folks,
We just got back from a 2000 mile round trip from north Florida to north Ohio (I-95, I-26, I-40, I-75) and back. We put in an Edge EZ and MBRP Exhaust on our 04 Sierra K3500 Dually last month in preparation for this trip. We have a 37' CrossRoads Paradise Pointe fifth wheel that weighs in just shy of 14K.
I was just amazed at how easliy the truck pulled. We never got out of Level 1 on the Edge. There were only four hills where we even dropped down going up the hill and the transmission never got above 180 degrees even in the 95 degree heat, but we averaged abotu 165 degrees most of the time. The hills where we did drop down were at least one mile at 6 degree or better incline. Did freak me out the first time it dropped into grage braking at went to 3.5K RPM even though I was expecting it.
Most of the time we set the cruise control on 68 and let it drive itself. It was fun passing all the Ford's and Dodge's pulling campers on the smaller hills. It was nice being asked when we were fueling up what was in that thing...:)
And best of all we averaged 13.4 MPG going up and 13.7 MPG coming back.
I can definately recommed both products to anyone thinking about buying them.
