i am looking at getting an ATS turbo for my truck, the guy that has it says it rarely gets over 4lbs boost unless on a steep hill or towing lots of weight, also the pyrometer never goes over 600 degrees, he says the rig gets 15mpg wit ha 700r4, not much power... Is there a way to make the turbo have more boost while driving and towing? If no boost while cruising is the motor making any more power than what i have now, J code 6.2, air cleaner mods, dual exhaust,,,,, thoughts, suggestions, thanks

You can turn the fuel pump up a lot with egts that low. That would also increase boost because it is not a waste gated turbo.

Careful.

Rule of thumb is max boost 10 psi and max EGTs of 1000 or 1100 Degrees with a 6.2 turbo.

most guys put them pre turbo, so thats the 1100

post turbo is 900,

id rather have pre turbo, mine came post, but im not changing it.
