Hey guys I need a help as soon as possible. I took my truck in because the turn signals weren't working properly. When I turned on the left turn signal both left and right would come on.
So I took the truck in and they said it was the multi function switch so they changed it. Problem still there. Next they changed the signal\hazard switch and things started to work properly. Now while the truck was in the shop I asked them to rotate and balance my tires because there was a vibration at highway speed. After balancing the tires the tech took it for a spin and said there was still a vibration. He then said that the rear joint of the drive shaft was 180 degrees out and causing a vibration that also caused the rear U joint to wear out. They were the only ones to work on my truck and they replaced the U joint so it was there fault and they reluctantly replaced the U joint. Now when it came to paying for the truck my wife had to go pick it up because I had her car at work and she wanted to Christmas shopping so she just paid what the invoice said and took the truck.
When I saw the invoice last night it said:
199.99 Road Force Balancing
392.00 signal repair
591.99 Total
$30 for miscellaneous???, $102 for the parts(signal\hazard switch), $260 for labor. Does this sound right? Also they didn’t include the U joint work on the invoice. Before the job even started they said that the multi function switch was $220 and the signal flasher was $45. Seems to me once they found out they had to cover the bill they hid the charges in other parts and labor. Or is a flasher switch different from the signal\hazard switch What do you guys think???
