Anyone know if I can order a black grille...?
I don't like the gigantic piece of chrome on the grille...
Maybe even a black front bumper....

I was thinking about getting a blach grille part from a Chevy SS... Same thing????
But then won't GM charge a mint for it...?

I don't know about the chrome grill stuff but I checked on getting a black bumper put on when my chrome rusted out. The dealer covered the cost of a new chrome one (under warranty) but to get a non-chrome primer only bumper, they wanted to charge me $300.00 to paint the new one and put it on. I went with the chrome....I asked the question about the ss grill as well....no one agreed on whether it could be done or not.

Check out stylinconcepts.com. They sell grille shells made for painting. Typically come with some sort of billet insert already, but maybe you could delete that.

Also, could you just sand the plastic chrome off the stocker and paint it? I'm finding I can pretty much paint almost anything on my truck if done with the right prep and materials.

I just sanded my grille down and had it painted black to match the rest of the truck. Also bought a big mouthe grille from precicion design, but never ended up putting it on so it for sale now in the for sale forum in case you interested.
