HI has anyone rebuilt there own turbo. how did it go,was it easy. would you do it again. my truck is a 95 with 6.5 turbo. if so where did you get your parts. thanks for any and all help. thanks gransportw

I am interested also. But ak I didn't see a rebuild kit from that website. Just a rebuild service for the GM turbo's.

very easy to rebuild just remember the turbine wheel is a reverse thread. fleabay used to have the best prices. a very important thing is to check the turbine shaft for wear. it is best to check before ordering a rebuild kit as you may need a full turbine cartridge. i did mine in less than 2.5 hrs

I have never dealt with this website before so I don't know if they are good or not.

HI thanks for the help. the one on my truck is working. but if i keep it. i have two others on engines that i want to rebuild for a spare. i was told that the one on the 95 1/2 ton 4x4 was bad and the 94 one iam not sure about. is there any way to check with out installing on my running truck. thank gransportw

check to see if the wheels contact the housing
check the waste gate to see if it moves freely

the shaft assembly is balanced, you must have the compressor wheel back on the shaft in the right spot or it will be out of balance
