Hello Forum. I have been on here quite a bit and have been im'ing and messenger chatting with some of the members but have not posted alot. I hope to get more involved in posting and thought I would start by posting my Dyno results from tonight. Best pull on #2 only with Quad 215 was 478 rwhp 863 trq. Ithink my torque is down a little and hope my new banks big head will help it out a little. Best pull with Quad 215 Stacked w/ edge was 494rwhp 895 trq. I think I should have gained more from the stack and don't know where to look-- Any :help2: ??? Maybe putting on my Banks Big Head will help??? Last pull was Quad 215 w/ edge w/ .063 nos dry shot was 608rwhp 1087trq. And it was still smokin pretty good. I am going to step up the jet the next time when I get the new actuator on. Hope to get track times soon!!!!!! :ro) Talk to ya later Nate

Congrats on the numbers!

I picked up about that same amount when I stacked those two programs a couple of years ago.

.063 jet? You could probably get away with at least a .090 or a .100 with that stack. You have the trans to handle it too. I have a 2 quotes in my shop. #1 is: Dreams are goals to be atained, and #2 is; Go big or go home! Wecome to the wicked side!

Thanks Guys. If it were not for you all and this forum I would have no clue about diesel performance. S.D., I only had a purge solenoid I was using for my dry shot and it was free flowing at .063 orfice size. I have a .125 orfice pro shot solenoid I am going to put on next and up it to an.080 or so and continue climbing to the .100 mark:eek:

your going to like the big head, will see a bit of hp and tq increase as well a quicker spoolup, turned out to be a nice addition

I think my grandmother is still running about 400HP, so don't feel bad you're not alone.:muahaha: :lol: :eek: :eek: Am I the only one still at 400 rwhp? :( :(

Juice, I must have missed the thread, but why do you keep putting SC-25x at the bottom of each of your replys?

How did you dyno it? Your "low" torque is probably becasue of the method used to dyno it. Remember were your torque peak is? If you are dynong with an auto and have no way to comand a gear you cant wood it and start your pull till in the 2100ish range witch is above your peak torque.

Yes, with the auto ally I was starting my pull at 2,200 or 55mph at which I was watching. Anything else would kickdown to 3rd. Should I use a diff. procedure to measure torque? This was my first dyno with a diesel and we had to put a tape marker on the balancer and put a infared eye under the truck for the tach signal. Should I try to pull it in 3rd gear for a better torque reading? I am going to install my banks big head actuator and put a .083 nos jet in and dyno again on Mon. or Tues. Any help is appreciated:ro)

You have to start your pull at a lower RPM. problem is(as you noticed) it wants to downshift on you if your try to go WOT less than 2100ish RPM. You need to have a tech 2 or the like to "comand" a gear. You force it to stay in the gear and not downshift on you, then you can start your pull down before your torque peak. I would stick with what ever dyno procedure you are using, a dyno is really only good if you can duplicate the test results and its only a good way to compare what you do to your truck. They are fun to play on too though. I dyno my truck at a local dynojet here in 5th gear. I want it to load the turbo as much as possible. I also dont really care about what numbers I make, I just want an easy repeatable deal so when I go back to try something else I can easily see trends. 4th or 5th gear.

BTW, my peak torque was at 2,600 and the pull started at 2,200. It took it a sec. to start pulling so I think there might be something to starting the pull earlier to get higher peak torque. Also, peak power was at 3,100 rpm but we pulled it to 4,000 rpm. I guess next time I will shut it off at 3,200 or so since there is no reason to pull it that high on the dyno. TTL Nate

Even though you start at 2200 your turbo aint lit ect. You need to start down much lower. HP is fine though.

Last time I dynoed I didnt even want to hook up the optic eye(tape and eye deal you were talking about)since it wouldnt be accurate but the dyno operator wanted to just to wow the spectators. It was a big dyno even with a bunch of gassers and such at the place I have dynoed before.

If you cant get a tech 2 I wouldnt even worry about trying to read torque. My runs would also vary the torque quite a bit even though the HP numbers would be within a few HP just by the way we started the pull(a hundered rpm or so either way would throw it off pretty bad)

I Thought That I've Read Somewhere Here That When Stacking These Combos The Best Power Was Made On Level 2 Or 3,did You Try These Settings Also?

I did not try any other stack with the edge with it on anything but lev. 5. We were pressed for time on the dyno and I did not get to try everything I wanted to with diff. settings and stuff. Hopefully next week I can get some new numbers with the new wastegate and bigger jet. Guess time will tell:ro)

I tried the same stack a couple of weeks ago and couldn't come up with numbers that good.The dyno was a Mustang and the operator was fairly new to it. As I have a standard all runs were in 6sp or overdrive. Tried 5th but seemed to come up with poorer #'s. The dyno gave huge torque #'s because it didn't have an rpm sensor I think?. As far as the operator knew you divide the dyno # by your axle ratio which is 3.73.

#1- Stock (edge unhooked) = 277hp@ 70mph
TQ = 1885 @ 69mph

#2- Quad 215 hp(no edge)= 438hp@ 90mph
TQ = 2373 @ 75mph

#3- Edge (HOT) on #5 = 430hp@ 87mph
TQ = 2536 @ 66mph

#4- Edge #2/Quad215 = 463hp@ 91mph
TQ = 2636 @ 74mph

I really don't know what to think about the method used and low numbers.

keep us posted on what you dyno then. i am interested to see what it makes

I dynoed again last night. I added the Duramaximizer to the combo. It seemed to really help out the stack. I ended up running a .088 nitrous jet to clean it up the best. The numbers were: 710rwhp/1,347trq. I guess I will have to play with trq # when I can get a hold of a tech2 and command to stay in a lower gear. But I am very happy with the results of N.X. kit with the #'s it made. I hope to add a little pane and up the nx jet a little more to see how far I can go on the stock turbo and injectors:ro) . I am jealous, :eek:

I need some "gas"

FTR, With Quad on 215, I can't move Edge above level 3 or mine will burst or whatever it's doing.
