need help with this one. trans will not shift into lockup. if your driving down the interstate at 70 mph the check engine light will come on everytime. i hav a new ecm installed, the trans was rebuilt year and half ago. installed all new solenoids and torque converter at that time. i cannot figure this one out for nothing.

The solenoid is stuck on. The computer is registering as the TCC solenoid as engaged.


Replace the TCC solenoid and you should be good.

The computer sees this.

No DTC(s) 21, 22, 71 or 74 present.
TCC slip rpm between –5 and + 10 rpm
TCC off
TP Signal > 25%
D3 or D4 on range SW
Commanded gear indicated 2nd or 3rd gear
Lasts longer than 2 seconds.

When the parameters are noticed by the computer then it will give you a fault code of 69. TCC Stuck on.

When the TCC solenoid is commanded off and the TCC solenoid is still sending a hydraulic signal the computer picks up on it.
