truck in sig

noise comes in right at 40mph
changes with speed.
126k mi
running truck on lift only noise heard was a roughness in RF
replaced RF hub with National (bca) hub
LF hub orig
coming around a slight L hand curv and light swerving to L will amplify noise

tires are very slightly chopped but dont think this is the noise due to above info

there is no play in rear wheel bearings
Lf hub, t-case, and rear diff sound good while checking in the air

can these rear wheel bearings make noise like the front under turning loads?
could it be a rear diff bearing?

thoughts and experiences welcome thanks

Does this mean you only get noise when turning?

the noise comes in right at 40mph if you have a sweeping L turn it will be a little louder

iv never heard a rear diff bearing get louder when turning, but since these trucks have an inner and outer adjustable rear wheel bearing i was wondering if anyone knows what a bad rear wheel bearing sounds like

I've yet to run into a rear bearing issue on a GM full floating rear. Not to say that this isn't your problem but I would be surprised. Especially only at 40mph. In my experience, when I've encountered bad axle bearing on semi-floating rears the noise was persistent and worsened with speed.

One thing I try to do while driving is figure out what rotational speed affects the noise. Is it engine speed, driveline speed, wheel speed, etc.. Then, how does your speed and gear affect the noise. For example, if the noise comes at 40mph and goes away at 60mph.. etc. In 4th gear at 40mph I get the noise, in 3rd gear or OD at 40mph I don't.

First thing I always do is rotate tires. The easiest thing to rule out - and easy to see if it moves from front to back.
