Ok, i was driving today. In t/h, why, i dont know. Went to pass up a car. Not even enuff throttle to downshift. RPM's went high, so i pulled over to the nearest street. No reverse. Stop truck, started agin, all working. CEL comes on. Plug in the PPE and it's P 0735. which is 5th gear range inhibited or something like that. Cleared code, set truck back to stock.

Now she has no pep and smokes like a train

Limped the trans. p0735 = 5 gear incorrect ratio.

As for the the smoke on the stock setting....probably MAF related. Need more info.

Put back to stock, then put back to level 3 . Seems ok now. Thanks for the input

Careful with the trans on the power tunes. It seems that after they are limped once, it is easier to limp them again. Even in light throttle. The second time I limped mine I could have sworn there was AstroGlide in the trans instead of ATF.

Yeah I've limped mine about a half a dozen times now, the most recent being this weekend. I was going up a hill, about 9% grade and I was only in it to about half throttle and LIMP. But I'm going to go and see Mike when I get back from Afghanistan next year. You had better start your tranny fund to.
