Hey got a question... What is the difference between a flared and rounded tailgate? Im lookin at buying the boyfriend a tailgate protector, but i need to know the difference first..:help:

chevsforever 12-11-2009, 08:18 PM I may be wrong, but I think the rounded and flaired mean the protector, not the tailgate itself. The rounded one matches the round countour of the top of the tailgate. The flaired one looks like a little spoiler on top of the tailgate. Do you know if he wants a replacement one, or which type he prefers? Can make it difficult if you ever go to put on a shell or a tonneau cover. The 3/4 tons just had the simple rounded one.
