I finally got my DSP5 switch up and running, only took about 1 year to finally get it installed. My question is in position 5 the switch puts out 0.5Vdc, is this used as a valet position? The other 4 positions make sense but the 5th position doesn't. Can't seem to find were in EFI I setup position 5?

No parameter for the voltage change for each DSP mode seen in the LBZ and LMM DSP5 like in LB7 and LLY had. At least not in the tables I seen. Maybe there is a different way. I say the values are coded in the pmm file or obj file. Reading the PDF file on DSP5 for LBZ and LMM on EFILive site says that the voltage would be .5volts.

You can change the voltage setpoint for positions 1-4 but not 5, I'm just wondering if the 5th position is for Valet Mode?

Sorry you were right on that to set the voltages for DSP 1-4. Isn't the 5th position the base tune or be the same as no switched present? Is for some reason your switch more than 6 position? If some some have an index ring to set the position travel.

No only 5 positions, how do I use the valet option?
What you said makes sense, I have just programmed the 1-4 wrong. I left 1 As stock and then tuned the rest as follows, 2 +70 HP (Daily Driver), 3 +100, 4 +150.

check out this EFI Live document, specifically page 13:

Apparently Valet Mode is activated by grounding a specified pin (see documentation) on your ECM - independent of your DSP5 switch.

Stupid me, I didn't read this fair into the literature. I had installed the switch a year ago, and forgot about the rest. DUH:rolleyes:

Did not realize you were DSP5 on the 2004.5 truck and not the LMM.
